Interactive monitoring of global development aid

This interactive visualization is based on data from the research paper “Monitoring Global Development with Machine Learning” by Malte Toetzke, Nicolas Banholzer, and Stefan Feuerriegel.

Data includes 3.2 million aid activities conducted between 2000 and 2019. Aid activities total USD 2.8 trillion and are financed by 757 different donor organizations, including national donors, multilateral donors, and private donors. All countries that are eligible to receive official development assistance (ODA) are included as recipient countries. Financing sources comprise ODA grants, ODA loans, private development finance, and equity investments.
